Berea Fire Department Receives Class 2 ISO Rating

Greenville, SC, April 14, 2009:  The Berea Fire Department has received a Class 2 rating from the Insurance Services Office (ISO).  This rating plays a part in determining the fire insurance premiums that residents of the district must pay. The Department was previously a Class 3.  Improvements were made in the following areas:

Number of Stations

Training facilities

Communications

Fire Chief Gary Brock says, “This reduction in our rating is a result of hard work by the members of the department and cooperation of the community.  We are continuing to improve the services we provide to our community.”
